Velvet Rodriguez is the owner and Managing Law Partner of VRP Mediation Services, PLLC, in Salt Lake City, Utah, and Park City, Utah. As an experienced Attorney-Mediator, Velvet has resolved over 4,000 cases throughout her 24-year career. Velvet specializes in high-conflict cases and is currently on the Board of the Utah Chapter of AFCC. Velvet has also trained and presented for the State of Utah's Annual Judges Conferences; for nationally recognized organizations like the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts; Association for Conflict Resolution; and Arbinger Institute.

Our Mediation Philosophies
Mediation is a form of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) where a neutral third party, a mediator, serves as a facilitator between parties having a dispute. We believe mediation is the most efficient way to navigate conflict because, unlike litigation, the goal is not winning but finding a beneficial, mutually agreed upon solution. Mediation is also completely confidential, less expensive, and quicker than litigation. A productive session can result in cooperative, non-confrontational solutions where both parties leave satisfied. As attorney-mediators, our team has a deeper understanding of the law, giving them the insight to offer unique solutions, suggestions, and information clients may not have thought of.
Services
All of our mediators prefer to mediate virtually via Zoom, but are willing to meet in person upon request.
